It would be GREAT to have a Louisa Dem on the Virginia Redistricting Commission. Please consider applying to be on the commission. You cannot fill out the application until RIGHT NOW. Deadline for the application is December 28, so do it RIGHT NOW. Just do it!
The form looks intimidating. But it’s really simple because they ask for the same information for 3 different years.
Who are you, education and employment, and then 11 yes/no checkmarks. Then 3 years of:
Were you registered?
Preferred Party?
What primary elections did you vote?
What public or party offices you held or sought?
Then describe any employment by the US Congress, Geneeral Assembly or any members thereof, and any partisan activities etc etc…

Applications will be accepted November 30 through December 28, 2020. Click here for more details.
Please follow all instructions for completing the application form, as incomplete applications cannot be processed.
All sections of the application form must be answered legibly, completely, and truthfully in order for a determination regarding your eligibility for service on the Virginia Redistricting Commission to be made.
Please note, three letters of reference must be submitted with your application. Applications submitted with fewer than three reference letters will be considered incomplete.
Applications may be returned by email (varedist@dls.virginia.gov), faxed to (804) 698-1899, or mailed directly to the Division of Legislative Services, Attn: Selection Committee, 900 E. Main Street, Richmond, VA 23219.
If you fill out the application electronically to return by email, please save the document as a pdf and send the saved, completed file and three reference letters as email attachments to varedist@dls.virginia.gov with the subject “2020 Redistricting Commission Application for (your name).”
Applications must be received by December 28, 2020.
