Applauds Federal Road Investment

There is a dangerous intersection in Louisa that needs improvements.

Last week I came through the intersection at Routes 15 and 250 at night, from the north (from Walmart). A friend who was unfamiliar with the area was driving and I was directing. When we got to the intersection I told her to turn left onto 250 towards Louisa. When she made the left turn, she almost turned into the oncoming lane because she couldn’t see the median. There are no lights illuminating and there are not any reflective signs to show where the median is.

I am so glad that the bill passed last week by the U.S. Congress, the INVEST in America Act, (thank you, Abigail Spanberger!) includes $22 million for infrastructure improvements in Central Virginia. I’m also glad that this dangerous intersection is targeted. Let’s just hope both Republicans and Democrats in the Senate can find the wisdom and leadership to pass this!
